II / ORIGINAL CYANOTYPE PRINTS

Original Cyanotype Prints

One-of-a-Kind 19th-Century Photographic Artworks

Description

Cyanotype printing, originating in the 19th century, is one of the earliest photographic processes. Recognised by its signature deep cyan-blue tone—the source of the word blueprint—this historic technique blends craftsmanship, chemistry, and sunlight.

Each print is created by hand: cyanotype sensitiser is brushed onto 300gsm, acid-free, cold-pressed watercolour paper. Natural materials are arranged on the prepared surface and exposed to ultraviolet light. The final rinse reveals the image, resulting in an artwork that feels both elemental and magical.
